Inner rhythm studios

What is inner rhythm?

Everyone has their own rhythm. A pace in which you think, feel, work and live. This is called your inner rhythm. If you stay in this rhythm, you usually feel good. You can think clearly, you stay better focused and you come up with ideas more easily. Things require less effort, because they fit in with how you naturally move. If you live outside your own rhythm for too long — for example because you constantly have to rush, or force yourself to work in a way that does not suit you — you get tired more quickly. You lose the connection with yourself. You feel like you are being lived. Recognizing and following your inner rhythm is not a luxury, but a prerequisite. It helps you make choices that are right. Not faster or slower than necessary, but exactly in your own way.

Examples of inner rhythm:

Both are okay. The point is to know what your rhythm is — and to stay true to it, even when the world around you is moving faster or differently.

Circadian rhythm

Your circadian rhythm is your natural day and night rhythm. It is a kind of internal clock in your body that lasts about 24 hours. This clock regulates, among other things, when you get sleepy, when you wake up, when you get hungry and when your body is active or tired. This rhythm ensures that your body knows what to do at what time. In the evening, for example, your body automatically produces melatonin, so that you become sleepy. In the morning, your body temperature rises and cortisol is released, which makes you awake and alert. If you live according to your rhythm — so you sleep on time, get enough light during the day, and rest when necessary — you will feel fitter and clearer. But if your rhythm is disturbed, for example by going to bed too late, a lot of screen time in the evening or irregular working hours, you can suffer from fatigue, stress or concentration problems. In short: your body works on a natural rhythm. The more you take that into account, the better you will feel.
